Brick Walk Challenge Announced

On Tuesday, November 21, 2018, Dr. Charles Johnson-Bey was awarded the 2018 Distinguished Alumni award from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association. In his acceptance speech he offered a challenge to all of the classes of the 1980's (1980 - 1989) to have their classmates purchase 100 bricks minimum per class to honor themselves, Poly faculty, or administration. The concept is to have a minimum of 100 bricks installed, all at the same time, for each class.

In order to make this happen, we need to establish a few simple ground rules. First, we need one (1) representative from each class to serve as the point person between the class and the Memorial Brick Walk Program. We need the name, phone number and email address for this person supplied to Adrian Palazzi (apalazzi2@gmail.com, 410-952-8890 cell) as the Brick Walk Chairman. We also need a "cut-off" date for receiving applications. Please note that we are not and never will discourage brick orders, but by establishing this "cut-off" date, we can then submit the bricks for engraving and installation. Any brick orders received after this cut off date will be processed however, they will NOT be in the block with the original submissions.

We in the Poly Foundation and Alumni office appreciate the support of all alumni and other donors. By establishing this "cut-off" date, there will be no confusion as to location of bricks.

Thank you for your interest in this exciting Poly endeavor!
