The Maryland institutions that are participating include: Capitol Technology University, Goucher College, Hood College, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University Maryland, Maryland Institute College of Art, McDaniel College, Mount St. Mary's University, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Stevenson University, St. John's College, Washington Adventist University, and Washington College.

Who may apply: Current high school seniors and full-time, degree-seeking undergraduates.
You will be notified via e-mail if you have been awarded aid. You have 2 weeks to accept the award on your MHEC account.
Senatorial Scholarships
Who may apply: Current high school seniors and full-time and part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students. Students attending a private career school may also apply.
How to apply: Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If your senator makes his/her own awards, you must call or write to your legislator for further instructions. The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OFSA) can provide a list of all State legislators.

These awards are made on the basis of need as demonstrated on the FAFSA. If a delegate asks OFSA to make the awards, students must complete and file the FAFSA.
3. Parent Form(s): W-2 or 1099 (Send to MHEC). Students must also send their W2 if they worked in 2015. YouthWorks is considered as employment. Students can attain a copy of their W2 from YouthWorks by calling 410-396-3752 or 410-396-3759; or by visiting 401 E. Fayette St., 8th Floor. Identification required.
4. Parent IRS Tax Return Transcript (Must complete if you did not use IRS retrieval tool in FAFSA. Download the IRS Non-Tax Filer Statement and check "RETURN TRANSCRIPT").
5. IRS Non-Tax Filer Statement: Student, Parent, Spouse (Complete form at www.bpi.edu/scholarships. Send to IRS then forward IRS confirmation to MHEC).
