GIVING TO POLY
The Baltimore Polytechnic Institute Foundation & Alumni Association was created with the sole purpose of supporting Poly students and teachers and to ensure Poly maintains and builds on its long tradition of academic excellence.
Baltimore Polytechnic Institute is committed to preparing highly motivated students for success in college and in life by providing a rigorous STEM curriculum and instruction from faculty who are experts in their fields. Poly continues to be the number one high school in Baltimore City for science, technology, engineering and mathematics thanks to the support of our alumni and friends.
The financial support of Poly alumni is critical to continuing the successful Poly tradition of academic excellence. Donations to the BPI Foundation are used to their maximum potential to provide resources and technology for students, as well as scholarships and hardship funds for students who need financial assistance. When making a gift, you can designate which area of Poly you wish to support!
For your convenience, Poly has a number of ways to give. Please choose the giving option that is best for you. For information on funds, programs, and projects that need support, please review the Where to Give link.

You can make a significant impact on Poly and its students by including BPI in your estate planning or financial plans. Gift planning can help you leave a lasting legacy to your alma mater. It includes charitable trusts, gift annuities, life insurance, retirement accounts, and bequests supporting Poly and its students. It is recommended that you consult your legal/financial counselor when planning gifts.
Stock certificates may be submitted to the Baltimore Polytechnic Foundation & Alumni Association. Gifts from securities are an easy way to benefit from double tax savings: full deductibility on the fair market value of the gift, plus no capital gains on tax on the appreciation of the shares contributed. For information on how to transfer stocks, please contact the BPI Foundation Office.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please click here. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to BPI Foundation & Alumni Association may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Monetary gifts to Poly are administered by The Baltimore Polytechnic Foundation & Alumni Association, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and are fully tax deductible.
