Class dues help cover costs associated with Class Events and include but are not limited to the following purposes:
What else should you know about Class Dues?
All students are
asked to pay class dues if they intend participating in
class activities. It is expected
that not all students will participate in all
events. Dues may be paid in full or in installments.
Freshman dues are $15 and cover the following:
• End of Year Cookout
• Start up costs for next year’s Sophomore Ball (venue deposit,etc.)
The following packages are available based on the events occurring this year (Sophomore Year):
Sophomore Dues should be paid in cash by March 1st, 2019. Checks and money orders are also accepted and should be made out to the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. If dues are paid late, checks and money orders will not be accepted after May 10th, 2019. All dues should be paid in full by the deadlines to guarantee activities and items.
All previous year’s dues must be paid to participate in this year’s activities. New members to the Class of 2021 (i.e transfer students) are exempt from paying Freshman dues.
Students must meet the following criteria to participate in class activities:
· 50 Service Learning Hours
· No more than 5 Lateness (must be cleared only through Late Detention)
· No more than 10 Absences (excused by proper documentation)
· No Suspensions/No more than 3 referrals to Student Development Center
· Sophomore Status (at least 5 credits): You should have received a letter from your counselor saying you are not eligible to participate if you have failed courses and haven’t attended Summer School.

student’s responsibility to make sure he/she meets all requirements to attend
and resolves any restrictions in a timely manner. Eligibility will be checked
by Ms. Sellers (Counselor) and Mrs. Riddick (Dean of Discipline) and verified
by advisers. If a student is unable to participate in an activity due to an
emergency, refunds will be dealt with on an individual case basis. In some
instances, it may not be possible to issue refunds due to paying deposits for
events ahead of time. Refunds will not be issued for eligibility issues.

SOPHOMORE BALL ATTIRE
Student attire for Sophomore Ball is formal. Formal attire means the following:
· No jeans
· No tennis shoes/boots
· No athletic wear
· No dresses with low necklines
· No spandex/lycra dresses
· No dresses with extremely open backs
Make sure you and your date bring proper identification to the Sophomore Ball (ex: School ID card, State ID card, Learners Permit, etc.). Do Not Admit List will be checked at the door.
